An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic RMN/RGN to join our award-winning team on Garner Ward (Dementia Inpatient Services).

This job is currently only open to people who already work for the NHS in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly. We are committed to supporting our dedicated staff, so only current employees of the following organisations can apply:

### Main duties of the job

- The post holder will provide effective and efficient clinical leadership within the defined clinical area, ensuring care delivery meets and addresses the issues of spirituality, equality and diversity and rights in accordance with good practice and legislation.
- Act as a role model for junior staff in a manner that positively reflects the values of the organisation in a way that will ensure effective communication pathways exist with internal and external stakeholders aimed at developing current models of care.
- The post holder will be expected to engage and motivate colleagues to generate and implement ideas to nurture a culture of quality improvement.

### Skills and Aptitude

**Essential**

- Proven leadership skills.
- Able to prioritise workload and manage stress in self and others.
- Proven IT skills with application to practice.
- Proven organisational skills.

### Education / Qualifications

**Essential**

- Current professional registration – NMC.
- Significant experience post qualification.
- RMN/RGN
- Degree level qualification relevant to ward setting supplemented by specialist training and development or equivalent experience

**Desirable**

- Experience of working in a supervisory role
