An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual with excellent clinical skills and ED experience to further develop their expertise as a Band 6 in ED, following a recent promotion.

### Main duties of the job

The successful candidate would take charge in the busy ED on a shift by shift basis and also be expected to work streaming/TW shifts to enhance the skill mix at triage.

As a Band 6 nurse you will be responsible for the day to day flow of the department by ensuring the standards of care are met for children and their family / carers whilst in the emergency department, including delegation and deployment of the nursing team in the absence of a band 7.

The post holder will be accountable and responsible for providing a high standard of child and family focused care.

To communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team. Contribute towards the effective running of the department including patient safe and timely care.
