You will be part of a supportive and dedicated team. We offer: - Opportunities for role development and Band 6 leadership training. - Active involvement in Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives. - Close links with the Stroke Team, ENT, Radiology, Nutrition, Dietetics, and other key services. - A supportive environment that values transparency and encourages staff engagement in service delivery and decision-making. ### Main duties of the job The post holder will work as part of the inpatient Speech and Language Therapy team, providing assessment and management of adults with communication and swallowing disorders across a range of acute specialties, including Acute Medical Unit, Critical Care, Frailty, Dementia, ENT, Surgery, Cardiology, Orthopaedics and Respiratory. The role also includes managing an outpatient caseload, with opportunities to develop specialist skills in voice disorders, dysphagia, and head and neck cancer, including working as part of the wider multidisciplinary head and neck service. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the Trust to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care, contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives, and support the delivery of responsive, patient-centred services. The successful candidate will play an active role in education and training by providing teaching to the wider multidisciplinary team, supporting Speech and Language Therapy students and assistant practitioners, and contributing to the clinical development of the wider SLT service through audit, supervision, and continuous professional development. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities Please see attached to the advert a job description and person specification for further details.
