An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our Neuro-Oncology Team at South Tees Foundation Trust.

The post holder will be expected to have experience at managing patients with neurological conditions. The post holder will be required to have relevant post graduate study, ideally at Masters level. The post holder will be required to demonstrate advanced specialist skills and knowledge in the assessment and treatment of patients with neurological conditions.

The Physiotherapy Service is a well-established large, progressive and dynamic service, which continues to develop within the Trust.  The team is friendly and supportive and mentorship for this role will be available from other clinicians, the AHP Service Lead and from the Head of Physiotherapy.

This post offers development in clinical and leadership skills and the post holder will be supported to attend relevant post graduate courses.  We have an established and comprehensive training programme and our staff are encouraged and supported in their CPD through workshops, clinical supervision and the appraisal process.  There is also an expectation to actively participate in audit and research.

## Person Specification

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- To hold a Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy
- HCPC registration
- Completed or willing to work towards a post graduate course at masters level

### Knowledge & Skills

**Essential**

- Experience of managing patients with neurological conditions
- Experience of managing patients with oncology conditions
- Knowledge of relevant national guidelines and standards
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge and experience within specialist area
- Evidence of MDT working
- Good understanding of the structure, policies, priorities and format of the NHS
- evidence of working in NHS
- Evidence of audit, research or service development
- evidence of clinical experience at band 6 level managing patients with neurological conditions
- Evidence of supervising students/ therapy assistants

**Desirable**

- Evidence of working with patients with neurooncology conditions
