Work pattern: Monday - Friday (37 hours) The successful applicant will deliver an exceptional standard of care to the MoD service personnel and their families. For further information please see NHS Careers website (opens in a new window). ## Person Specification ### Qualifications **Essential** - Must be an appropriately qualified and experienced Mental Health Social Work professional. Be registered with the SWE, SSSC, CCW or NISCC - Degree in Social Work or equivalent Diploma in Social Work (DipSW) Certificate of qualification in Social Work (CQSW) - An understanding and working knowledge of all social care legislation Mental health Act (MHA) (83), Mental Capacity Act (MCA) (05) inc deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLs)(LPS), Care Act 14, ECHR (98) , Adult and Children safeguarding Policies. - Must be an experienced Mental Health Social Worker with post qualifying experience of working in a mental health setting. - Experience of working with clients with a range of complex mental health difficulties. - A thorough understanding and working knowledge of mental disorders and treatment options including the recovery model. - Caseload management experience in a multi professional setting A thorough working knowledge of the Mental Health Act (83) and subsequent amendments. - An understanding and working knowledge of all relevant legislation MCA (05), including DOLs / LPSy, Care Act 14, ECHR (98) and Safeguarding.
