### Main duties of the job

To work as part of the Emergency Department team to provide expert nursing care to those attending the Emergency Department including the Urgent Care Centre. To provide expert practice and knowledge. To promote, implement and evaluate evidence-based practice.

The post holder will collaborate with members of the multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient care following guidelines and pathways within emergency care.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

### Skills

**Essential**

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- Sound knowledge of the principles and practices of emergency care

### Experience

**Essential**

- Significant years of post registration emergency nursing experience.
- Relevant years of working as Band 6 level in the Emergency Department or emergency care setting.

**Desirable**

- Clinical supervision experience.

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Registered Nurse Level 1 and Post Registration A&E course (formally ENB 199) or equivalent study.
- ILS / ALS Qualified.

**Desirable**

- Non-medical prescriber
