### Job summary

The Pharmacy team would like to invite rotational pharmacists (Band 6) who believe that they could undertake a senior rotational pharmacist role and who meet the person specification to apply for this role. Candidates who do not currently meet the person specification but who will do within the next 6 months are also invited to apply.

### Main duties of the job

The principal requirements of the Senior Rotational Pharmacist role are as follows:

Role

Deputise for B8a pharmacists for short periods when necessary. This would include being able to confidently lead a team of pharmacy professionals on a day-to-day basis, delegating work and escalating concerns as appropriate.

Mentor, teach and supervise trainee pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and more junior pharmacists

Take ownership of a non-core speciality/topic area as link pharmacist. Roles include diabetes, pain management, stroke, etc.

Person Specification

We ask that B7 Pharmacists:

Hold (or have completed at least 1 year of) a Clinical Diploma or equivalent

Have experience working in a hospital pharmacy environment.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Previous experience working in a hospital pharmacy environment
- Experience of good foundation in clinical pharmacy practice and providing pharmaceutical service to a specialty
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good personal organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work unsupervised, under pressure, manage self and motivate others
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Has a professional attitude and is able demonstrate adaptability and innovation in work practice
- Familiar with the use of a range of IT systems and functions.

**Desirable**

- Good negotiation and persuasive skills

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- MPharm (or equivalent qualification)
- Registered Pharmacist
- PgD in Pharmacy Practice (or working towards)*
