This post forms 1 of 2 Senior Rehab Assistants in this service.  The Brain Injury Team is a multidisciplinary team delivering services to adults with brain injury – in hospital and in the community.  The service will be based in Cheltenham but will require some travel between Chelt-Glos hospital sites and in the community. This will be achieved by implementing delegated treatment plans and facilitating rehabilitation within agreed limitations through exercise, physical modalities and the use of occupation. Dimensions There are no management or budget responsibilities The post holder will have regular formal supervision and annual appraisal Not always directly supervised on a day to day basis, but has access (in person or by telephone) to a registered practitioner Mon-Fri To maintain a high level of confidentiality with regard to patients and their affairs at all times. Knowledge, skills and experience GCSE level C or equivalent for literacy or numeracy Basic keyboard skills with the ability to input data accurately Relevant experience working as an therapy assistant , support worker or equivalent in a healthcare setting in the UK Ability and willingness to drive as part of role, except if disability precludes driving. Positive interpersonal skills to be able to communicate appropriately with staff, carers and patients. General Fully participate in the Trust’s appraisal system review and personal development planning process on an annual basis.
