You will be part of a rich multi-disciplinary team including Nursing, Psychiatry, Occupational therapy, MHWPs, Peer Support Workers, and Social Workers. You will be involved in complex assessment and formulation, designing complex multicomponent interventions and delivering these directly and indirectly via individual or group therapies, care planning, training and consultation. We would expect you to have experience of psychological formulation and at least two forms of therapeutic intervention (including short-term interventions), as well as an understanding of the latest evidence around interventions. The post holder will be fully registered with the Health Professions Council as a condition of employment. ## Person Specification ### Skills **Essential** - Advanced psychological assessment and formulation skills including risk assessment. - Highly skilled in specialist interventions with the client group (Secondary Adult Community Mental Health) ### Experience **Essential** - Experience of work in adult mental health services or agencies and work with people with severe and complex mental health difficulties. - Experience of teaching, training and supervision, including the clinical supervision of clinicians from other professional backgrounds. - Experience in undertaking leadership roles within clinical psychology/psychotherapy/therapy services in the NHS and in contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of strategies and clinical policies in multi-disciplinary, multi-agency contexts. - Experience, and/or training in diversity awareness and social inequality. **Desirable** - Proficiency in in both individual and group therapy approaches is desirable. - Experience of working with VCSE services. ### Qualifications **Essential** - Qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologist (D.Clin.Psychol. or equivalent) and eligible for Chartered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist Status in the British Psychological Society.
