We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic , hardworking and experienced candidate, who is passionate about making a difference. Accredited in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and ideally trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and committed to using a trauma informed approach. Closing Date: 11th June 2026 at Midnight Shortlisting Date: 12th June 2026 Interview Date: 1st July 2026 ### Main duties of the job - Working closely with the Service Lead to assist in providing clinical leadership, managing waiting times for different therapeutic modalities in the service, supervision of trainee clinical psychologists on placement, psychological therapists, assistant psychologists and where appropriate other staff groups across the trust; recruitment, data collection, audits, training and representation at relevant leadership meetings. - Provide supervision and training for trainee clinical psychologists from the Leeds Doctorate programme - Provide specialist evidence based psychological assessment, formulation & therapy, making autonomous clinical decisions about own professional practice. - Provide clinical leadership, supervision, consultation and advice on psychological therapies. - Provide clinical consultation as appropriate across the trust. - Support adherence to relevant NICE guidance and clinical governance arrangements. - To ensure the clinical effectiveness of own practice and of service functioning by undertaking research and development activities relevant to the service area. - Work with the Service lead on service development, leading research and development activities ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities Please read the attached Job description and person specification for further details about this role. We appreciate your attention to this matter and your commitment to fulfilling this requirement promptly. ## Person Specification ### Experience **Essential** - Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision. - Significant experience in relevant area of mental health practise. **Desirable** - Experience working within a trauma informed framework. - Experience applying specialist psychological therapy to patients who have complex difficulties. ### Qualifications **Essential** - Accreditation from a recognised Psychological Therapy body e.g. BABCP, BACP, UKCP, HCPC - Doctorate level training in clinical or applied psychology, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical, psychometrics, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the BPS, or a BPS Statement of Equivalence. - Specialist post graduate training to masters level or equivalent in a psychotherapeutic modality - including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Systemic Therapy **Desirable** - Teaching (clinical practice) qualification/certificate or equivalent experience.
