The Senior Project Manager is a business-critical role that enables the Trust to deliver its capital programme, maintain legal and regulatory compliance, manage infrastructure risks and provide healthcare environments that support excellent patient outcomes. Failure to recruit to this position would create significant patient safety, operational, financial and compliance risks across the organisation.

### Main duties of the job

- Lead the delivery of capital, infrastructure and compliance projects across the Trust, ensuring completion to agreed quality, cost and timescales. Manage project plans, budgets, risks and governance arrangements while providing expert advice to clinical, operational and corporate stakeholders. Ensure compliance with statutory legislation, NHS guidance, HTMs, HBNs, Building Regulations, CDM and fire safety requirements. Oversee procurement, contractors and consultants to achieve value for money and successful outcomes. Lead building safety, asbestos, water safety, ventilation and electrical infrastructure programmes. Embed health and safety, infection control and risk management throughout project delivery. Support service developments, estate improvements and the Trust's Capital Programme, Estates Strategy and sustainability objectives. Key Accountabilities Safe delivery of capital and infrastructure projects. Compliance with statutory and NHS requirements. Effective budget, programme and risk management. ### Skills

**Essential**

- Excellent Numeric and analytical Skills
- Ability to make sound judgements and decisions involving highly complex facts and conflicting demands
- Able to produce concise reports both financial and information based
- Ability to interpret national and local guidelines. Able to interpret and act upon new guidance from NHS or Professional bodies

### Qualification

**Essential**

- Educated to MSC level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in Building construction or Engineering services
- Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development
- PRINCE 2 Practitioner or equivalent project management qualification
- Membership of a professional institute such as APM, WIFM, IHEEM, CIBSE or RICS
- IOSH Healthcare (Risk & Safety Management) or NEBOSH general certificate (Construction).

**Desirable**

- Management qualification
- Extensive knowledge of range of specialist areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to Degree level or equivalent

### Experience/Knowledge

**Essential**

- Experience of working at a senior level in Project Management within Healthcare.
- Experience of working within Estates bias discipline.
- Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development.
- Detailed knowledge of the NHS HBN’s
- Experience in facilitating formal tendering processes.
- A thorough understanding of fire prevention, building construction and services, fire safety legislation, Codes of Practice and Building Regulations.
