We also hold national contracts for supporting the mental health needs of adult victims of trafficking and in-care survivors. We have an exciting development opportunity for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Senior Principal Clinical Psychologist to lead on the delivery of national contracts within the Glasgow Psychological Trauma Service (GPTS). This post offers a significant opportunity to shape and influence the delivery of high-quality psychological care for victims of human trafficking and in-care survivors. The post holder will work closely with a range of partnership organisations and will play a key role in providing specialist psychological assessments for individuals who have experienced human trafficking and exploitation and in-care survivors. These assessments will support access to appropriate care pathways, including psychological therapy and wider support services. You will have a central role in supporting staff to deliver psychologically informed and trauma-informed care, providing specialist advice, training, and consultation to colleagues involved in the delivery of support and psychological therapies within a matched stepped-care model. The post includes responsibility for the supervision of staff delivering psychological interventions. The role involves direct clinical work with individuals and groups presenting with CPTSD at the most severe and complex end of the spectrum, contributing to the provision of a high-quality, evidence-based clinical psychology service. The post holder will be a member of NHS GGC Glasgow Psychological Trauma Service, embedded within a well-established specialist psychological therapies service. As such, you will be expected to contribute to the ongoing development of the wider GPTS, including participation in service development, research, and audit, in line with service priorities. You will be encouraged to develop a specialist clinical interest, and continued professional development is strongly supported. You must be registered with the HCPC as a Clinical Psychologist.
