We are looking for a qualified technician with experience to join our small friendly team. You will have recent hospital or aseptic experience, good communication skills, and a good knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice. You will also have experience of teamwork, staff supervision, training others and work planning. To support the roles of and work under the supervision of the Chief Technician & Accountable Pharmacist. Main duties - To assist in the provision of a safe, efficient and high-quality aseptic pharmacy service to the Trust’s patients. - To assist in the provision of a safe, efficient and high-quality dispensing service of supportive medication. - To actively encourage the adherence to all procedures relating to aseptic services and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). - To have an excellent working knowledge of all procedures, guidelines, and legislation. - To participate in the writing, review and update of Standard Operating Procedures and other Quality Assurance (QA) documentation. - To liaise with pharmacists, production staff and ward staff on a daily basis, to help regulate and manage workflow efficiently. - Participate in Pharmacy Team meetings as required. - To problem solve at short notice such as stock supply, staff issues, equipment failures, capacity planning whilst maintaining the day-to-day service efficiently and safely.
