Are you looking a for a challenge ? are you enthusiastic? then this is the job for you. The Pharmacy Department at East Kent NHS Foundation Trust are looking for the right candidate to join our Pharmacy Dispensary team at The William Harvey Hospital

You will be based within the pharmacy dispensary and further training will be given in all aspects of hospital dispensary services.

Any successful applicant for the above post will also be expected to participate in flexible working which will include weekend, late duty and bank holiday rotas.

Minimum of 2 years dispensing experience, working in hospital or retail pharmacy

PLEASE NOTE - WE CANNOT OFFER VISA SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE. If you hold a Graduate/Post Study work visa, you will only be able to work this role until the expiry date of your visa.

### Main duties of the job

Main Duties of the Job Include:

- To support the section managers in the delivery of a comprehensive service to East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.
- To assist in the provision of a safe, efficient and effective pharmaceutical service, with particular emphasis on the dispensing of in-patient and out-patient prescriptions and discharge summaries to wards and departments within the Trust.

### Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

### Governance

- Understanding of current legislation and good practice relating to dispensary practice

- Understanding of following standard operating procedures

### Qualification

**Essential**

- NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services or equivalent

**Desirable**

- Accuracy Checking Dispensing Assistant (ACDA) course

### Other requirements

- To be aware of and adhere to the Trust’s Vision, Mission and Values

### Skills and Experience

**Essential**

- Minimum of 2 years dispensing experience, working in hospital or retail pharmacy
- Experience in a customer facing role

- Training members of the pharmacy team
