### Job summary

You will be working as part of a team responsible for delivering pharmacy services to our community hospitals, mental health inpatient wards, mental health community teams and specialised clinical services across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. We provide a range of experience throughout our Trust to develop your potential in our skilled, innovative, and caring team. You will work with a diverse range of staff and patients, so must be able to work collaboratively to deliver the highest quality of care. It is vital that you can put patient care at the heart of your work to improve healthcare outcomes and service delivery. This is a developmental role with associated assessments and training expectations.

Position is for 22.5 hours. Currently there are no weekend duties, bank holiday working or late nights. You may be expected to work some Saturday mornings in the future. You will be expected to travel across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Please note the Trust is unable to provide sponsorship to work for this role, to apply you must have current right to work in the UK status. Employment on a time limited visa doesnt guarantee sponsorship at point of expiry.

### Main duties of the job

As a pharmacy assistant, you will be part of the team, working within stores (procurement) and the dispensary to deliver a comprehensive pharmacy and medicines management service to all sites within the Trust

You will regularly visit designated clinical areas to review stock holding and provide a stock top up service; dispense medication and deal with routine enquiries.

You will be required to work independently and as part of a team and must be able to travel throughout the Trust.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Previous experience of working in a hospital or community pharmacy
- Previous experience of stock control work
- Previous experience in a customer or patient care setting

### Qualifications

- GCSE (or equivalent) grade 5 or above in Maths, Science and English Language (all 3 are required)
- I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.

### Additional Criteria

- Willingness to undertake further training including accuracy checking for dispensing assistants course when posts become available.
- Willingness to travel across Herefordshire and Worcestershire to provide our top up service .
