You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care. In this exciting and varied role, you will provide expert support to the aseptic unit and cytotoxic reconstitution services, acting as an Authorised Pharmacist and overseeing the day-to-day preparation and release of cancer treatments in accordance with national and local Good Manufacturing Practice standards. You will also deputise for senior colleagues, including the Principal Pharmacist – Cancer Services and the Principal Pharmacist - Aseptics & Quality Assurance, and contribute to the delivery of pharmaceutical services across the Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career while making a real impact in cancer care. ### Main duties of the job Clinical: - To screen and check systemic anticancer / chemotherapy prescriptions, ensuring their clinical and pharmaceutical appropriateness of prescribing, preparation and administration - To provide specialist expertise on the prescribing, preparation and administration of parenteral and oral systemic anticancer therapy, adult/neonatal total parenteral nutrition & other aseptically prepared products. - To provide clinical pharmacy services on selected wards and departments.
