We are able to offer a full time permanent role and a 12 month secondment to the right candidates. The roles are based across our two bedded rehabilitation units at Davies court and Athorpe Lodge within Rotherham. You will be part of a well-established multidisciplinary team, supporting patients to reach their goals, regain independence and maximise their function to enable them to return to their own home environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for rehabilitation and delivering high quality therapeutic interventions. ### Main duties of the job Provide a specialist high standard Occupational Therapy service to the adult population of Rotherham, including the supervision of band 5 therapists, support staff and students. You will be expected to manage a caseload of patients with varying complex needs and support timely discharges from the service. You will work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, communicating effectively with therapists, nurses, social workers, carers/enablers, and other professionals. The role requires the ability to prioritise workload, respond to urgent situations, and maintain accurate clinical records using IT systems. You will demonstrate sound judgement, supporting junior and support staff, and contribute to safe, effective care through risk assessment and adherence to clinical governance and health and safety principles. The role requires experience of working in a rehabilitation, enablement, or community setting and the ability to support patients with complex physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
