### Job overview

ICHNT understands the importance of ensuring good staff health and wellbeing, to individual and Trust success, and ultimately to positive patient outcomes.

Working in a well-resourced multi-disciplinary OH team, across a period of maternity leave, the incumbent of this temporary position will support occupational health service delivery, and development, and take a leading role in the maintenance of the established audit processes and associated data collection & analysis, as well as ensuring the annual quality standard \[SEQOHS\] requirements and ongoing accreditation.

Although significant topic-related understanding and experience is required, this role offers the right person an opportunity for professional development within a high-performing award-winning team.

### Main duties of the job

- You will maintain a high standard of clinical work when carrying out nursing procedures.
- Responsible for the safe custody of medication, including checking and administration.
- Ensure compliance with our clinical governance framework, you will motivate colleagues, champion service user safety and dignity and drive continuous improvement.
- Deliver core OH clinical services undertaken by all ICHNT OH B7 SNR OHAs, including own caseload, health clearances and duty-nurse activities.
- Support junior members of the clinical team, and the administrative team, as required.
- Maintain the routine clinical audit activity, scheduled for the contract period, which is nec-essary to maintain OH quality standard and ensure safe practice and improve ICHNT OH service delivery.
- Responsible for process review and development, required for ongoing safe and effective clinical practice, and lead on process roll-out and the associated training of others.
- Update clinical guidelines to ensure the delivery of best OH practice, and remains current.
- Support IPC OH activities in the absence of the B7 Snr OHA: IPC lead

### Experience

**Essential**

- 3 years+ wide range of OH nursing including 1 year+ NHS OH experience
- 2 year+ OH Team Leader / Mentor / Manager

**Desirable**

- 5 years OH experience including 3 years+ NHS OH experience
- Experience and understanding of the SEQOHS accreditation process and revised standards, or willingness to undertake SEQOHS training to develop the required knowledge.
- Project management

### Education/ qualifications

**Essential**

- 1st level Registered Nurse
- Specialist Occupational Health Qualification
- Part 3 NMC Register: SCPHN
- Evidence of continuing professional development

**Desirable**

- Qualification Diploma / Degree in Health & Safety, Wellbeing / Health Promotion / Business Management
