This is a key technical role supporting the Trust’s enterprise network infrastructure across hospital sites, data centres, and community locations. You will be responsible for providing senior‑level technical expertise across LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewalls, and remote access services, ensuring high availability, performance, and security for critical clinical and corporate systems. Acting as a senior escalation point, you will lead on complex troubleshooting, support major incidents, and contribute to network upgrades and infrastructure projects. The role requires strong experience supporting enterprise networking environments, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, operational healthcare setting. You will work closely with ICT colleagues, clinical stakeholders, and third‑party suppliers to maintain resilient and secure services. Essential requirements include networking qualifications (e.g. CCNA/CCNP or equivalent experience) and significant experience supporting large‑scale network infrastructure. On‑call and occasional out‑of‑hours working is required. Join us and play a vital role in supporting patient care through reliable, secure digital infrastructure. ### Main duties of the job Provide 2nd and 3rd line support across the Trust’s WAN, LAN, WLAN,and firewall infrastructure, including hardware, software, and cabling, ensuring issues are owned through to satisfactory resolution in line with Service Level Agreements.
