This is a 12 month fixed-term role (37.5 hours per week) working out of Worcester. We are seeking a Physiotherapist with NHS experience in MSK outpatients, who possesses advanced skills in assessing and treating MSK conditions. The successful candidate will need to be proactive, highly motivated in their own professional development, able to demonstrate strong clinical reasoning, and committed to delivering evidence-based practice. In this role, you will manage a complex and varied caseload in a busy, friendly department. There will also be opportunities to run group sessions and assist in fracture clinics, providing initial assessments and advice to patients following injury or surgery. Experience working with trauma or post-operative patients is therefore preferred. The department also enjoys close collaboration with our Extended Scope Practitioner service, which specialises in spinal, knee, shoulder, and pain clinics. You will be supported in your continuing professional development by experienced and supportive team leaders, and you will be actively encouraged to contribute to the development of both colleagues and the service. To take the responsibility for own caseload within a defined area of service or for a particular patient type. To provide supervision, support and education to qualified and unqualified staff and students. To participate in departmental audit in support of evidence-based practice. To communicate with the MDT as appropriate to provide comprehensive assessment to determine admission prevention as appropriate to given speciality. To undertake outpatient activity as appropriate within area of speciality. To contribute to our 7-day service on a rota basis dependant on specialty of work.
