Job overview

Are you a confident, registered clinician ready to support young people and families as part of the Early Intervention offer for mental health services?

We are seeking a full time Senior Mental Health Worker to join the Getting Help CAMHS Team, as we are undergoing CAMHS transformation work, combining Getting Help and MHST to form a comprehensive CAMHS early intervention service in Oxfordshire.

The Getting help and MHSTs are managed through the CAMHS service to provide ‘getting help’ as identified within the iThrive model of CAMHS.  Developing MHSTs are a key part of the Oxford Health’s Long-Term Plan for Children & Young People.

You’ll be registered in a relevant field such as nursing, occupational therapy or social work, with strong communication skills and an understanding of CAMHS. Experience in multi-agency working is key.

Join us to help to provide comprehensive and high quality Early Intervention services in Oxfordshire.

Main duties of the job

  • Carry out high-quality, needs-led mental health assessments and treatment interventions for children and young people within an early intervention framework.
  • Work collaboratively with internal CAMHS teams and external agencies such as schools, healthcare providers, and local authorities to ensure joined-up, effective support.
  • Provide consultation, training, and supervision to colleagues and other professionals to support early identification and timely intervention in young people’s mental health.
  • Contribute to service development and clinical governance through audits, evidence-based resource creation, research activity, and quality assurance processes.
