Are you looking for an opportunity to directly improve patient care? Could your pharmacy knowledge help Manx Care develop its pharmacy services? Join our friendly and forward-thinking Medicines Optimisation Team as a Senior Medicines Management Pharmacist! This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and experience while supporting projects that improve patient outcomes, enhance medication safety, reduce waste and make the best use of healthcare resources.

### Main duties of the job

Based within primary and community care, our team work closely with the Frailty Team, GP surgeries, care homes, community mental health, learning disability services and the prison service, making a real difference across a variety of healthcare settings. With duties including clinical medication reviews, production of a Manx Care formulary and shared care for patients, there are roles/hours available in a variety of settings as you choose. There are also roles available in the production of Patient Group Directions, cost savings initiatives and prescribing policies for Manx Care. We are committed to developing every member of the team and there are opportunities for all staff to have ongoing training every year, which could be formal courses, in-house training or attending conferences. ## Person Specification

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Professional knowledge acquired through a masters degree in pharmacy.
- Pre-registration training to become a member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Registered as a Practising Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- A post-graduate clinical diploma (PG Dip) or relevant clinical experience.
