Please come and join us as a Medicines Management Technician (MMT)- National Rehabilitation Centre if you wish to become part of our journey to creating a better future for rehabilitation patients. We are looking for a registered pharmacy technician with a recognised accuracy checking qualification and if you were successful you would become a key part of setting up and shaping the pharmacy service to this area going forwards and paving the future of rehabilitation in the UK. You will work with our pharmacists, medicines management assistant and other members of the multidisciplinary team to optimise the use of medicines at the NRC, making a real difference to patient safety, patient experience and satisfaction. Your contribution will be vital but not only that, you will be supported to grow and learn through our many developmental programmes at the NRC as well as to engaging in research and innovation. Planning for the NRC is in its advanced stages, and the building should be ready in  2026. This role will be temporarily based at Queens Medical Centre before moving over to the NRC. For more details of the centre please visit the NRC website www.nationalrehabilitationcentre.nhs.uk ### Main duties of the job To improve and support the quality of patient care on admission and at discharge within the NRC, through the provision of a professional and effective medicines management service. This will include the assessment, and where suitable, re-use of patient’s own medications, accurate and meticulous drug histories, thorough patient counselling, timely preparation of discharge prescriptions, one-stop dispensing and authorised self-checking, as well as supporting the ward teams with storage and security issues. The role involves the supporting dispensary when required and performing weekend duties.  The shifted and bank holiday duties are as follows: To participate in departmental weekends, bank holidays and late duty working as required.
