Candidates that are non-GMC registered at the point of application will be considered for this position, under the Trusts International Fellowship Scheme (please note, there is a £500 admin charge for this scheme). More information re this scheme can be found on our website – link in job description. ### Main duties of the job This is an exciting opportunity to work at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. It is the largest children’s hospital in the UK with 371 beds. The hospital provides children’s emergency, secondary and regional tertiary services. The Department of Paediatric Surgery and Urology is the specialist children’s surgery centre in North West England including Urology, Neonatal, Oncological, Thoracic, Inflammatory Bowel Disease and specialist day-case surgery, and the surgery of intestinal failure and short bowel; supra-regional service supporting exstrophy, hyperinsulinaemia of the New-born, Metabolic disorders. The paediatric urology department is one of the 2 nationally recognised service for bladder exstrophy. We are a team of 7 consultants, 1 associate specialist and 4 trainees and 6 specialist urology nurses. We run a vibrant urology laparoscopic training programmme. Current research programmes include  - bladder exstrophy, bladder genetics, varicoclele, overactive bladder. The main purpose of this role will be supporting clinical activity on the wards, theatre and out patient clinics.
