The therapy team works closely with Trauma and Orthopaedic, Rheumatology and Pain management services as well as the other therapy teams at NNUH. As a member of our team you will have the opportunity to work in 3 main clinical areas – elective surgery, general trauma including spinal cord injury, and management of fragility fractures.

### Main duties of the job

People are at the heart of our work. We invest in staff development, integrate research into practice, and offer wide‑ranging clinical experience aligned with our goal of becoming a centre of excellence for research, education and staff development.

- To be the clinical lead physiotherapist responsible for a defined Orthopaedic area of work
- To be an expert clinical resource for the physiotherapy management of patients presenting to the relevant specialty, both within the Trust and regionally, as required
- To have an active role in the planning, development, coordination, delivery and evaluation of the physiotherapy service provided to patients within and out-reaching from the Trust.

Our team has grown over the last couple of years as a result of Trust investment in a dedicated Orthopaedic elective surgery facility (NANOC) which enables us to deliver care to a higher volume of patients each year.

In addition to the NANOC development it is an exciting time to join our service as the Trust is invested in progressing from a Trauma Unit to a Major Trauma Centre over the next 5 years and investment is also being made in spinal cord injury rehabilitation as a result of further regional transformation.
