Band 3 Healthcare Assistant (HCA)

We're currently looking for an experienced Healthcare assistant to join our busy Gastroenterology and General medicine ward.

You'll be part of a supportive, values - led team committed to delivering safe, high quality care. We welcome individuals who are hard working, kind and eager to learn.

Applications are welcome from individuals who may not meet all of the desired experience criteria. In such cases, candidates may be appointed to a band 2 position, with the opportunity for progression upon successful completion of additional skills training,

- Good general standard of education in Mathematics and English at GCSE level or equivalent to Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy
- Care certificate or equivalent
- Relevent course to role (eg: NVQ level 2)

- Cannulation and/or venepuncture skill
- ECG course
- Demonstrates kindness, compassion and empathy
- Demonstrates punctuality and good time keeping
- Demonstrates fortitude and hard work

**Desirable**

- Demonstrates understanding of patient advocacy
- demonstrates further training/self development
