37.5 hours per week

As a Senior Health Care Support Worker within Podiatry, you will support the delivery of high-quality podiatry services in a community setting. Working alongside podiatrists and the wider neighbourhood team, you will assist with patient care, support clinical procedures, maintain accurate records, promote self-management, and help ensure clinics and home visits run efficiently. You will contribute to a positive patient experience, support service improvements, and act as a role model for colleagues.

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, reliable and motivated, with excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills. You will be confident working independently, adaptable to changing priorities, and committed to delivering person-centred care. A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and develop whilst being a team player, are essential.

### Main duties of the job

As a Senior Health Care Support Worker within Podiatry, you will be a valued member of the team, helping patients access high-quality foot health services across hospital and community settings. You will support podiatrists in delivering patient care, assist with clinic activity, promote self-management and healthy lifestyles, and contribute to a positive patient experience from referral through to discharge. You will also help maintain accurate records, support service improvements, and act as a role model for colleagues.

The post holder will:

### Qualifications

- GCSE A-D or grade 3-9 in Maths and English or equivalent.
- Apprenticeship level 3 or equivalent eg, RQF(regulated Qualification Framework)NVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
- Or, level 2 qualification with the ability to demonstrate competencies at level 3.
- Care Certificate or required to achieve within 12 weeks of commencement.

**Desirable**

- Level 4 units in Health & Social Care.
