Applications are invited for the post of Senior Fellow in Trauma & Limb Reconstruction, to commence in August 2027 for 6 months.

This job is suitable for a post-FRCS (Orth) or post-CCT trainee who is looking for experience in the field of complex trauma and limb reconstruction, and is committed to a career in this field.

### Main duties of the job

The Fellow will play a crucial role in the limb reconstruction team, covering elective theatre sessions, outpatient clinics and ward work. This will involve complex acute trauma and post-traumatic conditions such as bone infection, non-union and deformity correction. This does not involve pelvic & ace tabular surgery, although there may be the opportunity to get involved in this if desired. A crucial element of the role will be liaising with other specialties, such as plastic surgery & microbiology, in the day to day management of complex trauma cases.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- A minimum of 3 years full time post graduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part time or flexible basis) or equivalent experience or competencies
- 12 months experience in Trauma & Orthopaedics with acute on-call commitments

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Medical Degree from a recognised University
- MRCS or equivalent
- FRCS on commencement
- ATLS or European Trauma Course qualification
