This includes provision of statutory and mandatory reports and certificates to national audit standards. The post holder will lead in the pursuing a  low carbon sustainable future, and comply with challenging targets for CO2 reductions year on year, set by the Health Board and externally by the  Welsh Government. ### Main duties of the job To provide Specialist Energy advice on Engineering systems, ensuring best practice and Energy Conservation at all Health Board properties, as the representative of the Chief Engineer or Head of Operational Estates. This involves a high degree of communication with Health Board project Managers and stakeholders networking with external organisations, both locally and nationally. There will be significant freedom to act within this role and the post holder will be expected to be flexible in approach and adjust to significant and sudden variations in priorities. Responsible for: - The Management of the Health Board’s Carbon Footprint and carbon consumptions within Specific Site Criteria, across the all Health Board properties. - Management of the Health Board’s Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) process and final recommendations - Monitoring of all utility consumption data and cost for the provision of annual reports to CRC audit standards. - Providing Strategic Energy Target and Criteria for Health Board Major Capital development projects Managers - Management of the Health Board’s Contracted Utility Companies and relevant Accounting systems, in Conjunction with the Shared Service Partnership for Wales.
