- An opportunity has become available for a Senior Digital Support Engineer within Digital supporting the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust.
 The Senior Digital Support Engineer will provide high‑quality technical support across the Trust, ensuring an excellent standard of customer service and contributing to the smooth operation of the Digital Support Desk.
The postholder will act as an escalation point for 1st Line Engineers, support incident management processes, and help maintain the reliability and security of the Trust’s digital infrastructure.
Key duties include logging and resolving incidents via the ITSM system, delivering telephone and remote support, maintaining accurate records, and providing guidance to users on hardware, software and digital best practice. The role involves installing and configuring desktop devices and peripherals, managing user accounts, supporting project work, maintaining PC images, and ensuring compliance with licensing and security policies.
The postholder will also support the management of print services, assist with equipment audits, maintain Active Directory information, and contribute to the development of knowledge base articles and technical documentation.

In the absence of the Digital Support Team Lead, they will help coordinate team activities and ensure service standards are met.

The postholder should also be comfortable working under their own initiative, have excellent organisational skills and a flexible approach to work. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this post together with the ability to work to tight deadlines.

The successful candidate should have a good attitude towards working and a desire to learn and be involved in all things within Digital.

We regret that the North West Ambulance Service does NOT offer any form of relocation allowance.  The Interview will be in person, and the successful candidate will be expected to attend sites throughout the North West on occasion with attendance expected at one of our main sites at least three times a week.

Visa sponsorship is not possible for this role for either candidates or existing employees. This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for Skilled Worker/ Health and Care Worker visas as set out at gov.uk. Graduate visa holders should have no expectation of long-term employment through sponsorship. Additionally, your visa conditions and validity period must allow you to work in the role question and for a suitable period to allow training and execution without requiring sponsorship.

- Experience of working with third parties, including outsource providers, to deliver quality IT services
