CCC has a large physics department with over 30 clinical scientists involved in the provision of support to either Imaging or Radiotherapy (including low-energy proton therapy), or in academic research. The department has a close working relationship with the Physics Department at the University of Liverpool with whom we collaborate to provide an MSc course in Clinical Science (Medical Physics) as part of the Health Education England’s Scientist Training Programme. ### Main duties of the job The wide range of equipment and different clinical techniques at CCC provides an ideal opportunity to gain a broad experience in all aspects of radiotherapy including brachytherapy and low energy proton treatments. Flexibility exists for staff to become involved in specialist topics, subject to departmental priorities. Physicists are committed to flexible working practices to meet the needs of the service. We are seeking a physicist who is either a State Registered Clinical Scientist or expects to become registered in the near future. Candidates not yet registered may be appointed at a lower Band or Annex U until registration achieved.
