The duties of the post are equivalent to ST3+. Standard hours 40 plus out of hours commitment. ### Main duties of the job The appointee will act under the supervision of the functional and reconstructive urology consultants at all times and attend the timetabled activities set out below. For example, this may involve or day to day administration as required by the consultants and the service. ## Responsibilities Full duties of the role and further information of the post can be found in the Job Description and Person Specification ## Person Specification ### Qualifications **Essential** - Registered with the GMC with a licence to practise - MBBS - MRCS or equivalent - and MRCS (Urol) or equivalent ### Research/Audit **Essential** - Ability to critically assess published research and incorporate it into clinical practice where appropriate - Competent understanding of research methods and statistics **Desirable** - Ideas for future research whilst in post - Publications in Peer reviewed journals - Understanding of the issues surrounding clinical research ### Clinical Experience **Essential** - A minimum of 24 months clinical experience in surgical posts including 6 months of Urology - Capacity to apply sound judgement & prioritise clinical need. - Demonstrates appropriate technical competence and evidence of development of diagnostic skills and judgment.
