This is a split role both working clinically within our well‑established Dedicated Ward Pharmacist (DWP) model and teaching undergraduate pharmacy at the University of Nottingham. The clinical aspects focus on delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred clinical pharmacy services at ward level, supporting safe and effective patient flow and transitions of care. You will also contribute to ward‑based weekend pharmacy services as part of a rota. The Teacher Practitioner role is in partnership with the University of Nottingham, combining advanced clinical practice with involvement in pharmacy education and training. Applicants should demonstrate strong clinical skills, effective communication, good time management and the ability to work collaboratively. ### Main duties of the job Teacher practitioner role working part time with the University of Nottingham delivering undergraduate teaching. Provide dedicated ward pharmacy (DWP) services to a given ward across a range of medical and surgical specialties. DWPs key performance areas include: supporting ward rounds to influence clinical and cost effective prescribing; managing the process of discharge prescribing improve patient flow and ensuring optimal safe transfer of care around medicines.
