## Job Content

### Job overview

We are looking for enthusiastic clinical pharmacists to join our large and friendly team delivering the diverse pharmacy service within one of the country's largest teaching trusts.

As part of the senior rotational programme you will get to provide complex, pharmaceutical care for patients, optimising their medicines and ensuring the safe & effective transfer of care.  You will have mentoring support of specialist pharmacists, and operational ward based support from medicines management technicians.

In addition you will build up your knowledge and skills to give you a wealth of experience for your CV.

Don’t know what area to specialise in but want a post that will give you the skills and opportunities to develop into a first class, well rounded pharmacist then this senior rotational post is for you!

### Main duties of the job

This post is part of our rotational programme involving 12-month long rotations aimed at building your clinical knowledge and skills, as well as maximising your integration with the multi-disciplinary teams. The current rotational gaps are within the exciting rotations of Cancer services, City surgery/microbiology, admissions/ED.

Following the first rotation, you will rotate around a wide range of specialist areas, such as admissions, cardiology, renal medicine, thoracics & critical care, paediatrics, trials, antimicrobials & ePMA.

You will also get the opportunity to line manage and mentor the junior pharmacists within the department and MPharm students from the University of Nottingham, building your portfolio further.

To understand the role in more detail, please read the attached job description and person specification documents.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Leadership, management and directorate/service support roles

To line manage and support more junior pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in the medical team specialties

To take full part in the 7 day shifted rota and bank holidays duties

We operate a 7day working model; the post-holder will contribute to the senior on-call rota providing back-up support to the on-call pharmacist. All of our dispensaries are pharmacist-free and technician led, so there aren't any operational commitments; ePMA is also being rolled out within the Trust.

Whilst this post is commissioned to be full time (equivalent of 37.5 hours per week) the service would welcome applications from those wanting a better work life balance. If you would like to consider this post but on less than full time hours please still apply and outline this on your application form or please contact us for further discussion.
