Applications are invited for the above post on a 12-month fixed term contract, commencing on 3rd February 2026. Candidates should ideally be within 6 months of gaining CCT at the time of appointment.

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside two dedicated specialist Foot & Ankle Consultants within a team of 20 Orthopaedic Consultants. The work includes not only a substantial amount of elective foot and ankle surgery but also the full range of foot trauma.

### Main duties of the job

The post is aimed at a senior trainee who has completed basic general orthopaedic training and is seeking to specialise in foot and ankle surgery.

The fellowship will expose the post holder to a range of foot trauma and elective operating procedures with the opportunity to work alongside 2 established, experienced, and fellowship trained Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Consultants. The post will involve undertaking elective/trauma operating theatres, elective clinics, fracture clinics, and ward round duties.

There is a possibility of an on call track with this post.

If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £54.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £16.
