“The Senior Clinical Fellow in Trauma and Orthopaedics at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, including West Middlesex Hospital, will support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care within a busy trauma and orthopaedic service. The post holder will be involved in the assessment and management of patients across elective and emergency pathways, including outpatient clinics, theatre sessions, and ward care across both sites. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, they will contribute to service development, clinical governance, and the supervision and teaching of junior staff. The role provides an excellent opportunity to develop advanced clinical skills and gain broad experience in trauma and orthopaedics within a supportive teaching hospital environment.

## Person Specification

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
- MRCS or FRCS

**Desirable**

- Evidence of commitment to Lower limb surgery

### Skills and Experience

**Essential**

- Should have substantial full-time hospital service in the SHO or a higher grade since first obtaining full or limited registration
- Orthopaedic Surgery, especially emergency T&O surgery experience.
- Experience of audit and research

**Desirable**

- Evidence of training in management skills
- Understanding of the NHS organisation
- 6 months of previous shoulder and elbow surgery experience at middle grade level
