### Main duties of the job

These will initially be supervised with the aim of working towards independent practice. There will be an alternate week theatre session. The post will include daily ward rounds of any gynaecological cancer patients, prepping for the local MDT meeting and virtual attendance at the central MDT meeting at Hammersmith. In addition, the role will include:

- -       Gynaecology outpatient clinic -       Gynaecology on-call session -       Guideline writing, audit and research -       Teaching and supervision of other trainees (once appropriate)

There will be some flexibility in tailoring the timetable and goals to the experience and wishes of the individual appointed and will support those wishing to work towards RCOG intermediate laparoscopy and ATSM’s in Oncology, benign gynaecology surgery: hysteroscopy and benign abdominal surgery: open and laparoscopic. There is also the potential to attain BSCCP colposcopy accreditation.

Training will be supervised by Mr Neale Watson (Rapid Access Lead) in conjunction with the other rapid access Consultants (Mr Maheswari, Mr Chilcott, Miss Pugh and Miss Touqmatchi) as well as Mr Ayim (for hysteroscopy) and Miss Kothari (colposcopy).
