A candidate who is unable for personal reasons to undertake the duties of a whole-time post will receive due consideration. If such a candidate is appointed the job content will be modified as appropriate in consultation with service director, consultant colleagues and local management. Post is initially for 12 months with the possibility of extending a further year. ### Main duties of the job The post of Senior Clinical fellow in Paediatric and Neonatal Surgery will offer the post holder an exciting opportunity to develop their skills in all aspects of Paediatric general and neonatal surgery with a focused training with the gastro-intestinal team. The senior fellow will have the opportunity to learn intermediate and advanced skills in Paediatric GI laparoscopy and Paediatric diagnostic endoscopy. The senior fellow will participate in a 1:6 non-resident general paediatrics, Paediatric Urology and neonatal surgical on-call rota. The post holder will work at middle grade tier alongside two National Specialty Trainees in Paediatric Surgery (ST3-6), Senior Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Urology, and 2 Specialist Doctors.
