### Job overview

This is a one-year, fixed-term fellowship offering exceptional operative exposure, with the Fellow expected to participate in more than 400 otological cases over the fellowship year.

The post has a strong emphasis on modern minimally invasive otology, including:

- Endoscopic ear surgery
- Cholesteatoma (primary, revision and complex disease)
- Advanced tympanoplasty and ossiculoplasty
- Canal wall up and canal wall down mastoid surgery
- Paediatric and adult complex ear pathology
- Hearing reconstruction and outcome-focused surgery

The Fellow will receive structured consultant mentorship, progressive operative autonomy, and opportunities for teaching, research and service development.

This is not a recognised training post but is equivalent in educational value to an ST7/8 or post-CCT fellowship.

## Person Specification

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Full GMC registration with licence to practise, MBBS and FRCS (ORL-HNS) or equivalent
- ST7+ or post-CCT equivalent ENT experience
- Demonstrated commitment to Otology and Endoscopic Ear Surgery

**Desirable**

- CCT (or within 12 months of CCT)
- Fellowship-level Otology experience
- Research, Audit, Teaching or Quality Improvement experience
