This post is suitable for dermatologists seeking to develop an interest in medical education and acquire specialist training in complex medical dermatology. This is an excellent opportunity to both develop an interest in medical education and receive supra-specialist training in complex medical dermatology. The post holder will join a first-class, multi-disciplinary team in an active and progressive central London teaching hospital environment. This post will comprise 50:50 education and clinical time. The post holder will have a unique opportunity to develop as a medical educationist, advancing the digital education portfolio of St John’s DermAcademy. As a senior clinical fellow within highly specialised medical dermatology, the post holder will receive supra-specialist training in the management of adult severe inflammatory skin disease and optimised use of biologic and other immunomodulatory therapies. The role uniquely comprises two integrated parts: postgraduate medical education and medical dermatology. The post holder will have a pivotal role in the content development, organisation and delivery of postgraduate courses and education initiatives for St John’s DermAcademy, with particular emphasis on growing the digital education portfolio. This will include online educational modules, webinars, podcasts and other evidence-based digital education resources for healthcare professionals.
