This post would be ideal for a candidate wishing to gain experience in Intensive care medicine and the recognition and management of the critically ill patient. You will be well supported by our dedicated team of ICU Consultants. The total throughput of patients is excess of 2800 per year. Senior medical cover is provided by a large team of consultants, who provide a 24-hour cover worked in blocks to provide continuity of care. We would welcome candidates who have at least two years of accredited core medical or anaesthetic training to the level of CT2 or equivalent. Candidates will be expected to have passed the MRCP or the Primary FRCA. There is a dedicated teaching programme which delivers ICU teaching weekly on a broad range of ICU relevant topics, ICU Radiology teaching and ICU Journal Club. The RFH ICU treats over 2800 patients a year. There is a large consultant body and team of resident doctors.
