The unit is a well recognised centre for advanced training in Breast and Reconstructive Microsurgery, Hand and Complex Limb Trauma reconstruction, Burns acute management and late reconstruction, and Cleft surgery. St Andrews Centre is also a regional tertiary centre for Head and Neck cancer services for the Essex region.

The fellow will be involved in the management of Burns patients within the Adult, Child and ITU wards.

Any successful applicant would be expected to work as an integral part of a surgical team and would take on considerable responsibility for patients under the care of the Consultant for whom they would be working.

The successful applicant would also be involved in research and would be encouraged to present and publish papers. In supporting Mr. Dziewulski, Mr. El-Muttardi, and Mr. Barnes, the fellows will be involved in the treatment of a large number of patients.
