Full registration with the GMC with a licence to practise is required, and if the appointee does not hold right of residence in the UK sponsorship will be required. The duties of this post are equivalent to ST7 training or appropriate to an individual holding a Certificate of Completion of Training. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual in the later stages of their training who wishes to further develop their experience in the management of patients with aortic conditions and complex aortic surgical procedures. ### Main duties of the job The successful candidates will have the opportunity to extend their own experience in aorto-vascular disease, be involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, be involved in operating sessions (with focus in aortic procedures), wards, ITU, OPD, aorto-vascular MDT and research projects. The candidate will not take part to the on-call rota. The appointee will spend 12 months at the Trust in order to undertake cardiac surgery and research work.
