As an Accredited Clinical Coder, you will have experience of coding a variety of specialties that occur within an acute NHS organisation. You will have a flexible and adaptable approach to work and strive to create accurate clinically coded data, embracing the national clinical coding standards, rules, and conventions, to ensure the Trust data is sufficiently robust. This role attracts a recruitment and retention premium of 20% of the basic annual salary. The Clinical Coding team work hard to provide an efficient, reliable, and effective service to the Trust in order to provide data on the Trust’s clinical activities, by abstracting information from various clinical documents and translating into diagnostic and procedure codes. The post holder will be responsible for managing the volume of uncoded activity in assigned specialties against agreed deadlines.
