Technical and Service Delivery

- The post-holder will deliver a high-quality, patient-centred cardiac physiology service across a broad range of non-invasive and invasive diagnostic modalities, demonstrating advanced clinical competence, sound judgement, and professional accountability.
- You will independently perform, analyse, and report ambulatory ECG monitoring, including event recorders, alongside resting and ambulatory blood pressure studies, ensuring accurate interpretation and timely reporting in line with departmental and national standards.
- You will supervise and support a range of advanced diagnostic investigations, including Exercise Tolerance Testing (ETT), Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET), and Head-Up Tilt Testing (HUTT), taking responsibility for the accurate analysis and reporting of findings in accordance with local and national guidelines.
- Within the cardiac catheterisation laboratory, you will competently support and document haemodynamic monitoring and procedural activity across diagnostic, interventional and structural heart procedures, including PCI, IVUS, OCT, shockwave therapy, rotablation, IABP, Impella, TAVI, MitraClip/TEER, LAAO and PFO closure. You will ensure precise procedural recording and contribute to maintaining high standards of patient safety and clinical governance.
