An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, flexible and proactive Senior Administrator to join our Neurodevelopmental Assessment & Consultation Administrative Team in  Blackwater Truro.

In this role, you will play a key part in the smooth day-to-day running of the team, helping to coordinate and deliver high-quality administrative support. You will help ensure that children and their families receive an efficient, responsive and positive service, while working in line with agreed procedures and timescales.

You will also contribute to maintaining high standards across the team, supporting colleagues with administrative tasks, and ensuring all patients, families, staff and visitors are treated with professionalism, kindness and respect at all times.

### Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for the provision of administrative support, their key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Provide comprehensive administrative support across the service
- Deliver reception duties, including welcoming families and answering telephone calls
- Process new referrals and manage multiple email inboxes
- Prepare correspondence, including acceptance, report, and discharge letters
- Maintain and manage diaries
- Scan and accurately record confidential information on computer systems
- Liaise with professionals to gather information for the clinical team
- Update and maintain Rio essential demographic information
- Take minutes at various meetings (adhoc)
- Support the Clinical Admin Coordinator with general workforce tasks as required

## Person Specification

### Knowledge & Abilities

**Essential**

- Experience in using NHS software packages i.e. RiO
- Previous NHS or Local Authority experience
- Understanding of Children’s Services

**Desirable**

- Supervisory experience

### Education / Qualifications and Relevant Experience

**Essential**

- GCSEs or equivalent (A-C) including Maths and English
- CLAIT/ECDL/NVQ 2 or equivalent
- NVQ 3 in business admin or equivalent qualification or experience
- Administrative Experience of working in a complex and busy office environment
- Previous Team administrative experience

**Desirable**

- OCR Level 3 Text Processing or equivalent
- OCR Level 3 Audio Typing or equivalentious NHS or Local Authority Experience
- Record Keeping
- Data – Protection / Information Governance
