We are seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant to join our Community Mental Health Team based in Hull. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our practitioners and medical staff, helping to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

### Main duties of the job

- Providing admin support to the team and medics.
- Organising clinics, appointments, inputting onto SystmOne, general tasks, liaising with clients, carers.
- Reception cover.
- A high level of organisational an interpersonal skill required.
- Ability to change improve procedures.
- Problem solving.
- The successful candidate will hold RSA 3 and OCR 3 / ECDL advanced or equivalent. Also previous experience of carrying out a range of administrative procedures in an office setting.
- Experience of using software including Microsoft Word / excel would be advantageous as would the use of SystmONe.
- Supervision and guidance for less experienced staff will also be expected.
- A flexible approach will be expected for absence / annual leave cover.

### Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- Knowledge of a range of administrative work procedures and practices

- Literate and numerate level 2

**Desirable**

- Knowledge of medical terminology

### Experience

**Essential**

- Knowledge and experience of IT systems (S1)

- Experience of organising clinics and appointments
- Problem solving skills / Deal with queries
- Make improvements to admin procedures & processes when necessary

**Desirable**

- Supervision of other less experienced staff
- Experience of using Trust IT Systems – e.g. System One, ESR, Oracle.
- Experience of use of Microsoft Teams.

### Environment

**Essential**

- Light physical effort required for lifting stationery, files, sitting at a reception desk.

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Advanced keyboard skills: RSA/OCR III or equivalent/Advanced ECDL
- Good standard of maths/english (level 2)

**Desirable**

- NVQ level 3
- Advanced EDCL
