HOURS 37.5 Hours. Work week Monday to Friday 9-5. Shift work 24/7 Is required to meet the needs of the service

### JOB SUMMARY

To work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of a quality service to children and their families including children with special needs. The post involves 24 hour cover to include day and night duty, evenings, weekends and bank holidays in any area of the trust to meet the needs of the service as required.

### KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

### General Responsibilities

Maintain professional registration on the relevant part of the NMC

Ensure personal accountability in accordance with the NMC code for standard of conduct, performance and ethics for nurses and midwives.

### The post holder will

Provide person centred nursing to ensure continuity of care within agreed standards

Adhere to DHSSPSNI and NMC guidelines for safe handling, administration, storage and custody of medicinal products.

Participate in uni-professional/multi professional audit and research as required

Ensure the provision of an integrated quality service by maintaining effective communication with the multi-disciplinary team and acute services.

Maintain good communication with patients/clients and relatives/carers ensuring that their individual needs are met, and report issues to the line manager as required.
