An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and reliable individual to join the Security Services team as a Band 3 Security Supervisor. The post holder will support the delivery of a safe and secure environment across the Health Board, assisting in the day-to-day supervision of security officers. You will play a key role in ensuring high standards of service, professionalism, and compliance with organisational policies and procedure

### Main duties of the job

- Lead and coordinate  security staff on shift
- Provide a visible, professional and reassuring presence across all sites
- Support the response to incidents, including conflict situations and emergencies
- Ensure all incidents are recorded accurately and reported in line with policy
- Carry out regular patrols of buildings and grounds to maintain security
- Monitor CCTV systems in accordance with legislation and local procedures
- Provide guidance and support to security officers during shifts
- Liaise with staff, patients, visitors, and external agencies such as the Police
- Promote a safe and secure working environment at all times
- Assist with investigations and follow-up actions where required

- Flexible to work shifts, including nights, weekends and bank holidays
- Ability to attend all UHB sites and Drive UHB Vehicle

**Desirable**

- Ability to undertake physical intervention where necessary

### Skills

- Good communication skills & Ability to work as part of a team
- Good standard of IT skills (Outlook, Word, reporting systems)

- Ability to deal with volatile situations calmly and effectively.
- Knowledge of GDPR / information governance

### Experience

**Essential**

- Security Experience

**Desirable**

- Previous NHS Supervisory
- Previous experience of undertaking Security duties
- Working with the general public

### Qualifications

- Good general education to include GCSE’s in English and Mathematics or equivalent

**Desirable**

- Security Certification / Licences
- Other Qualifications

- Security Standards, protocols & legislation
- The ability to be proactive and support change
- Ability to stimulate staff to improve quality of service

**Desirable**

- Understanding of Health and Safety regulations
