As part of this front-line service, you’ll need to be polite, helpful, and tactful, while also being firm and able to remain calm under pressure. This is a highly visible role involving regular contact with staff, visitors, and members of the public.

If successful, you will:

Respond promptly to security incidents

Ensure emergency access points remain clear

Assist with maintaining a safe and secure environment

Answer general enquiries from patients and visitors

## Person Specification

### Education

**Essential**

- GCSE or Equivalent

**Desirable**

- Security SIA license

### Knowledge and Experience

**Essential**

- Previous experience of working as a security officer in a complex and varied organisation.
- Working Knowledge of CCTV and Access Control Systems
- Understanding of principles of criminal law (PACE)

**Desirable**

- Experience with working with other systems, i.e panic alarms
- Knowledge of DOLS and MCA framework
- Previous NHS Experience
